Mariyam Hussain represents employees and employers in all employment-related matters, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation claims; severance and pre-suit settlement negotiations; and individual, collective, and class action litigation over wage and hour violations.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Christopher Q. Davis, Ms. Hussain spent three years working as a staff attorney at the New York City Commission on Human Rights, investigating and prosecuting civil cases involving discrimination, harassment, denials of reasonable accommodations, and retaliation before the City’s Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings. During her time at the Commission, Ms. Hussain was promoted twice.
Ms. Hussain received both her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University, and a Masters of Arts from the University of London. She speaks fluent Urdu and Hindi, and is proficient in Gujarati.
Ms. Hussain is admitted to the New York and Illinois state bars.
